Sr. Staff Accountant – Property Management

San Francisco-onsite :  Full-Time

What you will be doing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Sr. Staff Accountant with experience in property management and HOA/Condo association accounting. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple properties and associations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and timely month-end close.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Yardi SaaS, strong Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements for multiple HOA and condo associations
• Maintain general ledger integrity across assigned properties
• Manage accounting for multiple associations and property portfolios
• Review and reconcile association dues, assessments, and reserves
• Track and report on operating budgets and capital reserve funds
• Support annual budgets and audit preparation
• Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within:
• Property management
• HOA or condo associations
• Real estate accounting
• Hands-on experience with  Yardi 
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, financial analysis)
• High level of technical proficiency and comfort with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties/entities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
