Position: SAP Basis Architect
Location: Remote
Role Summary:
We're looking for an SAP Basis architect with 15+ years of experience, who is responsible for ensuring the smooth and optimal functioning of SAP systems and applications running on the SAP Net weaver platform. Responsible to manage the underlying infrastructure, services, and user access, while also providing expertise in SAP S/4 EMEA implementation. Responsibilities include system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaborating with other teams to implement and maintain solutions. Good understanding on EMEA data residency requirements, PCI, and data security requirements. Nice to have good understanding on integration scenarios with respective to S/4 and third-party external applications. At least 2 technical implementations with direct hands-on experience on landscape design, architecture, configuration, and deployment of the BTP services. Below mentioned roles and responsibilities a basis Senior Administrator must have in addition to the BTP Technology platform, SAP BODS, BW, Vertex, Solution manager, Open text VIM, SAP SSO, Job scheduling, and other SAP NetWeaver technologies. Good understanding and hands experience on SAP workloads in azure cloud.
Basis Technologies:
This role will have responsibility for the SAP implementation, testing, performance, and support of on-premises and SAP Azure Cloud systems.
This candidate will provide hands on leadership working individually or with small teams to support existing applications and participate in new projects.
New project work will include the Finance and Procurement Transformation Program which is part of multiple internal initiatives focused on operational efficiency and industry best practices. The Program will evolve client to a centralized business model with financial and procurement shared services based on SAP technology.
System Administration:
Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining SAP systems and applications on BTP.
HANA Database Administration and Smart data access:
S/4 Hana database monitoring, Administration and tuning of the database. Smart data access experience
System Landscape Design:
Designing and implementing SAP system landscapes, including on-premises and cloud components.
User Access and Security:
Managing user access, roles, and permissions within the SAP environment.
Transport Management:
Managing and coordinating the movement of code and configuration between different SAP systems.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing performance.
System Monitoring and Health Checks:
Regularly checking system health, ensuring stability, and identifying potential issues.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to SAP systems and applications.
System Upgrades and Patches:
Performing system upgrades, applying patches, and ensuring SAP systems are up-to-date.
SAP BTP Services:
Setting up and managing SAP BTP services, such as SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other cloud-based integrations.
Cloud Connector and BTP Services:
Providing support for SAP BTP administration, including Cloud Connector and BTP services.
Cloud-Based Applications:
Providing SAP Basis expertise for cloud-based applications running on SAP BTP.
