As a Network Engineer , the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas:
  • Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity
  • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including load balancers, routers, switches, firewalls, and networks
  • Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
  • Coordinates hardware and software acquisition
  • Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
  • Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Create and maintain documentation of networking processes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

Experience: 2+ years of related experience

Required Skills:
  • Experience with network and firewall solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, F5, and/or Palo Alto
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location: Primary work location will be remote, but candidate must be located in the Philadelphia, PA area to provide on-site support as needed

Security Clearance Level: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher clearance is preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
