Department Summary

Well-Being & Recreation (WBR) is looking for a creative and detail-oriented student graphic designer to help bring our programs and services to life visually. You’ll design materials ranging from social media graphics and digital screen displays to print pieces like banners, flyers, and posters — all within Ohio University and WBR brand standards. This is a great opportunity to grow your design skills and build a professional portfolio in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Production: Create graphics for social media, digital screens, and print materials (flyers, banners, posters, brochures) across WBR’s departments.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all materials follow WBR and Ohio University brand standards, including correct use of logos, colors, typography, and tone.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the social media specialist, photographer/videographer, and marketing staff to align assets with campaign needs and timelines.
  • Print Coordination: Prepare and submit files for print jobs through Ohio University Printing Services.

  • Organized Workflow: Manage multiple design requests at once, prioritizing tasks and communicating proactively about timelines.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-World Portfolio Work: Design across a wide range of formats — digital, print, and environmental — for an active campus department.
  • Brand Experience: Learn how to apply and maintain a professional brand system across multiple programs and audiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with social media specialists, photographers, and marketing staff on campaigns from concept to completion.
