Job Description
- Entry Filing: Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including commercial invoices and bills of lading, to clear goods through customs.
- Classification: Assign correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes to ensure accurate duty and tax assessment.
- Financial Oversight: Calculate duties and fees, manage payments to the government, and process duty drawback claims.
- Regulatory Liaison: Communicate directly with CBP and other agencies like the FDA or USDA to resolve holds, examinations, or requests for information.
- Advisory: Consult with clients on trade agreements, compliance risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
