The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette IN currently has an opening for a Distribution Technician . In this role you will be responsible for material availability for Assembly consumption. The primary focus for the Distribution Technician will be moving material to the assembly line via stand-up or sit-down fork truck.
Position Notes:
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Moving material to the assembly line via stand-up or sit down fork truck
Helping Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production parts
Making sure material is delivered to point of use in FIFO order.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of stand-up fork truck experience.
Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.
Basic computer skills.
Top Candidates will also:
Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift push and pull up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
Stand on concrete for 8 hours.

Location of this position is in Lafayette IN
Position available is on 3r d shift (10:30pm 6:30am)

Summary Pay Range:
$20.94 - $26.69Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
